Pack up Dad (and a picnic lunch) for Town Hall’s second annual Share the Music! concert, outdoors at nearby Freeway Park. The free-for-all event features kid- and family-friendly music from two great groups: the indie band Lunch Money from South Carolina, and Seattle faves The Not-Its! The concert’s a go, rain or shine, with Town Hall acting as a close and comfy (and dry) rest stop. Freeway Park is located between Sixth and Ninth avenues, and by Union and Spring Street. A picnic in the park with my one year-old daughter on its own would be a great father’s day. Add a free concert to the mix – best father’s day ever! Never mind that it’s also my first father’s day.
